The CompanyOur client's company was founded in September 2003, and sells multi-megawatt wind turbines in the United Kingdom andprovides a full after market service. With the success of their recent orders we need to expand our Service division.LocationsPeterborough area x 1Applicants must be willing to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the UK if requested.Job DetailsThe Role:Commissioning, servicing and repairing of wind turbines.Key Tasks & Accountabilities:* Independently service electrical and mechanical systems incl. HV as well as control systems* Perform failure analysis* Generate reports regarding availability and production dataThe Candidate must have:* 5+ years of work experience in servicing and maintaining of electrical industrial plant,* HNC level education or equivalent in electrical / electronics.* Knowledge and experience of working with mechanical rotating plant.* A good level of physical fitness with the ability to work at height* Ability to work unsupervised and under pressure, seek solutions through own initiative* Knowledge of computers and current computer programs* A willingness to travel extensively during training period (3+ months in Germany) and when servicing wind turbineswithin the UK* Full UK driving licenceThe Candidate will be at an advantage if they have experience of one or more of the following:* German language skills* Site construction or commissioning experience.* Wind turbine service experience* Experience with inverter systems and HV plants (up to 33 kV)You will be energetic and thrive on the challenges and opportunities of working in a growing and dynamic business.
