A nanny can be a qualified child carer and are generally trained to provide care for children from birth to 7 years old. They often have nursery nurse qualifications. Nannies may be live-in or live-out. A nanny should take responsibility for the safety and development of the children under their care. A nannies duties include the laundry, cleanliness of toys and rooms used by the children and the preparation of meals. Nannies are also sometimes expected to drop and collect children from schools or nurseries.

Social Worker - A social worker job is to work with the socially excluded or someone experiencing crisis. The Social worker role is to provide support. They can become guides, advocates or critical friends for the people they are helping. Social workers may end up working in private homes, schools, hospitals and the premises of public sector or voluntary organisations. Qualified social work professionals sometimes have social work assistants to help them. They work with health and social care staff in a variety of situations. They usually work with young offenders, people with mental health problems, school non-attenders, drug and alcohol abusers or people with learning and physical disabilities as well as the elderly.
