They are seeking a firstclass Shift Manager with excellent production knowledge and strong man-management skillsThe roleProvide leadership and direction to all staff. Encourage, support and train staff to reach their full potential. Inspireyour supervisors to deliver improvements in plant performance.Minimise staff absence levels by utilisation of absence monitor system. Ensure all grievances and disciplinaries arecarried out within company policy. Involve HR in all disciplinaries to ensure fairness of decision making.Ensure all technical audits are followed through. Implement good GMP practices in your area e.g. hand washing, beltedges, clean as you go.Follow all technical specifications for manufacture of the product. Ensure that quality ethos exists within your team.Constantly measure your performance in the quality standards being achieved in your area. Form effective relationshipswith the Technical team to deliver the required standards.Achieve demonstrable reductions in cost principally labour and materials on an ongoing basis. Challenge the status quo.Deliver agreed targets for labour and materials costs.Demonstrate the ability to make clear decisions. Involvement of staff, peers and managers in decision making.Completion of daily checks. Accident investigations completed on time. Monthly audits completed on time, actions followedup. General awareness of and encouraging a positive safety culture.Demonstrate urgency and commitment to deliver full service to the customer.Ideally you will have high calibre management experience and come from a chilled food background.Being a part of a major group there is opportunities for internal career progression. |
