As software developer you will be working as a programmer in the Management Services development group. You will work within an experienced team of skilled software engineers and be responsible for coding and testing software programs under limited supervision. Additional responsibilities include developing new features and functions depending on business need. You will also be responsible for providing work estimates and determine methods and procedures on new assignments. You may be required to provide leadership on projects of medium to large scale and provide technical guidance to other engineers. This role would be suitable for either a graduate developer with some industry experience gained in an internship or an existing developer with 2 5 yrs experience. In Summary your tasks will include: Analysis of requirements Functional Specification Design Specifications Implementation Specifications Implementation/Coding Understanding and using the Company build system Test Specification Testing Software fault diagnosis and correction Engineering documentation Adhering to Engineering formal/informal processes Interaction with other Engineering departments Interaction with other departments (e.g. Product Marketing, Sales, Support) Essential Skills Object Oriented programming in C# essential MS Windows development (Win 32/64) .NET technologies WinForms Multi-threading Computer Science degree or equivalent plus relevant experience either in Industry or in an internship Up to 5 years relevant programming experience Other key skills Additional desirable skills/knowledge in any of the following : Java programming Oracle and/or SQL Server development (inc. stored procedures) COM/DCOM SNMP WMI XML Management Consoles (e.g. MOM, Openview, Tivoli ) |
