Not only do we need an extremely competent C++ programmer, the rightcandidate will also require skills in multi-threaded and socket programming (STL) , experience in object -orientedanalysis and design, and experience working with VoIP or ISDN.Primarily it involves the design, specification, implementation test and maintenance of C++ code as a member of a smallproject team developing IP Telephony products for the computer telephony industry. The majority of development is onWindows.Here is what we need: Advanced C/ C++ programming - Heavy bias for C++ in Windows. Multi Threaded and socket programming, STL OOA, OOD, Software Quality practices Industrial experience of the Telecoms industry, VoIP or ISDN. Good CommunicatorFurther SkillsSpeech Processing Techniques (Basics) - Algorithmic FamiliarityVoIP Signalling Protocols, RTP, SIP.This role not only involves optimisation of code, problem solving, feature design and implementation, but also asignificant amount of Clean Sheet design (we are talking 40-50%) - giving the right candidate an opportunity to trulyinfluence and develop what will be the market leading offering in converged voice/data solutions.Our client have high standards, and a demanding C programming test makes up part of the interview process. This is ourclient's biggest project, and is set to be their 'flagship' offering upon launch.
