My client who dominate all aspects of the Digital TV sector are looking to appoint a Software Engineer to work out oftheir Hampshire based R&D site. This is a new position that has arisen due to their continued expansion and forms part ofa significant recruitment drive across all areas of their thriving business.We seek a self motivated, enthusiastic Engineer who is able to work on his/her own initiative and who thrives in highpressured environments often having to work to tight deadlines. The role will involve the analysis, design, coding andtesting of server based components for use in 24/7 broadcasting environments. We are looking for a developer with abackground in high availability server side application development using C++ for multiple platforms. You should haveexperience in the majority if not all of following areas: multithreaded application development, cross platformdevelopment for Unix/Linux and/or Socket Programming.Previous exposure to Digital TV and/or Broadcast systems would be especially interesting - MPEG, DVB, Conditional Access,EPG's etc. So would knowledge of UML or other similar Object Oriented Design techniques.Reference: OW-3367Ideal People Contact: Ollie Ward |
