Job descriptionThe successful candidate will be working on a Software integration and IOT test team in one of our UK offices, closelycoordinated with our foreign offices. This team has the main responsibility of integration and testing of BlackBerryhandheld devices.Key activitities include the specification and implementation of a verification environment andsupporting the development team by running test cases within the environment, and the debug of complex problems.Projectresponsibilities commence with the detailed planning of the integration and test activities with the project team inOttawa and/or Waterloo. The candidate is expected to be competent in generating creative solutions to complex testingproblems, documenting processes and participating in ongoing process improvement. The candidate may also be required tocoordinate work with partnered external test and development teams, and travel as required.ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent 5 years proven testing experience, preferably in the telecoms domain, with demonstrable knowledge with UMTS/GSM/GPRS. Detailed knowledge of various industry handheld OSs, such as BlackBerry, Symbian, PalmOS, and WindowsMobile Excellent verbal and written communications skills Demonstrable knowledge of common wireless communication test equipment from equipment vendors such as Spirent, Agilent, Anritsu, and Rhodes and Schwartz Experience in some or all of the following languages; C, C++, PERL, Python, Java Experience mandatory in the following testing disciplines: Performance testing, Regression testing, System testing andIntegration testing Experience doing statistical analysis of testing results Eligibility to work in the EU |
