Click here to view current Engineering / South West jobs.  Job Details: Title: Software Manager Location: Avon Salary: GBP 50,000 per year Description: Our client, a global leader in providing optical networking solutions for high-speed data, storage, voice and video services, currently have an urgent vacancy for a Software Manager. The Software Manager will be key in co-ordinating all aspects of software design across their UK engineering team. Duties will also include actively driving co-operation and co-ordination on cross-site activities.Candidates will come from a software engineering background and have experience with programming in C for Linux and RTOS. The key attribute for this role will be a proven record in direct line management experience of at least two years. Any additional skills in VHDL, Networking, Ethernet, Unix, IP would be desirable.
