Description:

Software Release Engineer / Release Test EngineerThe Release Team is responsible for releasing software to all customers, both silicon partners and terminalmanufacturers. Implicit in this is responsibility for managing release labels, scheduling releases, shipping releases andensuring that customer specific releases are subject to final "sanity" testing.The team is responsible for:Managing release labels.Releasing labels and ensuring they pass 'sanity' testing before handing to the Product and Conformance Test Teams.Scheduling releases and ensuring they are delivered on time.Perform the final release testing for all customer profiles.Ensuring that new products are releasable before they are added to customer profiles.Providing consultancy and support to other departments on release issues.Maintaining customer profiles.Person Profile2+ years experience in a similar role (Release Engineer / Release Test Engineer)Experience of Version Control SystemsGood verbal and written communication skillsThe ideal candidate would come from a Mobile Communications / Wireless background with a knowledge of GSM / GPRSprotocols and procedures.
