Our client is an exciting and fast growing broadcast company currently seeking a Spectrum Planning Engineer, who will beresponsible for developing software for planning tools, & to contribute to network planning projects in support of theseapplications. This position would ideally suit someone with a background in engineering calculations & physics who has astrong understanding of software development using high level languages (C, C++, FORTRAN). This is an analytical postrequiring the successful applicant to interpret complex statistical data from field trial measurements & contribute tothe development of prediction algorithms. Your primary responsibilities will be to develop and maintain in-house planningtools & database systems for broadcast coverage & network planning applications. You will be working as part of a teamdeveloping frequency & network plans for broadcast applications including Digital TV (DVB-T) networks, for fixed, mobileand handheld reception. This position may require some consultancy work on coverage and frequency planning for broadcastsystems in the UK and overseas. Knowledge of broadcast engineering systems and network design are desirable.This exciting opportunity offers the successful candidate the chance to contribute to both the largest Technology rolloutin Broadcast History and the development of TV broadcast to mobile handsets.
