SQL Server DBA - Chesterfield 45k + bens + bonus:A global outsourcing and solutions company has an exciting opportunity to work for one of their major customers. Key skills required: Installing and configuring SQL server, Production support of clustered SQL Databases, Tuning and managing dataloads into SQL Databases, Backups and recoveries of SQL DBs, Installing SQL Server 2000 in a clustered environment, Solid understanding of Windows and SQL Server 2000 security, Solid understanding of SQL Server 2000 backup\restore methods, Good understanding of SQL Server 2000 performance tuning tools and methodsgood understanding of Transact SQL and ability to troubleshoot scripts and stored procedures, Knowledge of SAN and clustering technologies would be particularly useful in addition to core SQL Server DBA skills. The individuals we are looking for would also need the confidence and ability to represent and defend technical decisions in a high pressure environment.
