: This successful engineering consultancy business are seeking applications from Structural and Stress Engineers, with previous aerospace experience, to join their growing team based in Glasgow. This company are strategic suppliers to key players in the aerospace industry, providing broad based mechanical engineering services including design and manufacturing engineering support to their clients. Project Engineers take ownership of technical tasks and are responsible for providing high quality technical input to aerospace projects spanning both aero-structures and aero-engines. You will be degree qualified in Mechanical, Structural or Aeronautical Engineering and have a minimum of 2 years' professional experience in engineering environments relevant to the aerospace sector. You should possess previous experience in structural analysis or design engineering gained within the aerospace industry including knowledge of stress analysis (including Finite Element modelling), fatigue and damage tolerance, design, composite materials and thermal analysis. Experience in the use of the following tools such as Dyna, Nastran, Patran, CATIA, CADDS5 Unigraphics (Version 1.8 preferred) or Hypermesh will prove highly advantageous. Candidates will need to attain an appropriate level of UK security clearance for this position. |
