Structural Engineer, London Salary Neg PermanentOur Client is currently looking for a Structural Engineer based in London. This post requires a candidate who must have: Bachelors degree (BEng) in Engineering plus a minimum of 3 years relevant work experience or Masters degree (MEng) in Engineering plus a minimum of 2 years work experience or Degree in Engineering that meets the engineering academic requirements for chartered engineer plus 3 years relevantwork experience Graduate membership of a relevant Institution Graduate membership of IStructE or ICE (working towards chartership is advantageous) Concrete and steel design experience Good understanding of architecture and a desire to contribute to the built environment Commitment to delivering innovative design solutions to our clients within a commercially sound framework. Imagination and creativity Good communication skills, experience in dealing with other employees and external clients. Good IT Skills Confident, proactive character, ability to take the lead in challenging situations. Experience of working on a one to one basis and in team working situationsThe applicant will be: Undertake detailed engineering design Prepare technical schedules Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work Work closely with and monitor performance of Technician (as appropriate) Under guidance of senior staff, represent the Company at meetings with the client, other professionals and suppliers. Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget. Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met. Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions and the objectives of thecompany and the client are achieved. Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team. Ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters. Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy and services represent the clients best interests and thatCompany policy is in keeping with current legislation, British Standards and Codes of Practice etc. Actively work towards Chartered Engineering status.
