** min. 4 years experience. will consider a CONTRACTORPERMANENT VACANCYJob Title: Structural EngineerLocation: OxfordshireDepartment: StructuresReporting to: DirectorOverall Responsibilities:Our client provides multi-disciplinary services in areas including Civil and Structural Engineering, Building Surveying,Land Surveying, Transport and Highway Engineering. We have offices in Oxfordshire and Hertfordshire.This is a permanent position based at our office in Oxfordshire (65 employees). Within our Structures team, we require aStructural Engineer with expertise in general building design. Our work comprises projects of up to GBP 40M (typicallyGBP 3-5M) and includes new build and refurbishment of houses and flats, industrial buildings, commercial properties andschools etc.The position would suit a graduate with 2/3 years experience gained in a consultancy environment.Principal Accountabilities:To carry out scheme and detailed design and project management of structural engineering projects, including new buildsand refurbishmentsTo liaise with Architects and other members of the design teamTo supervise and provide technical support to CAD techniciansKnowledge, skills and experience:Graduate with at least 3 years experience, ideally gained in a structural consultancy environmentExperience of design in all structural materials steel & concrete, masonry and timberChartered, or working towards chartered statusAttributes:Strong team playerGood problem solverKeen to keep technical knowledge up-to-dateBenefits:We offer a competitive salary and benefits package including 20 days holiday per annum with an additional 3 days atChristmas plus a long service entitlement.
