: Structural/Civil Engineers The ideal candidate will have up to 2 years postgraduate experience in the design of building structures and should be capable of working on his own initiative. Technical excellence with the ability to deliver project work in a timely manner and within project financial constraints is essential. A good working knowledge of current codes of practice is desirable. You should possess good interpersonal skills since this role will bring you into contact with both Clients and Contractors. You should also possess strong IT skills and any site-based experience of the construction process would be an advantage. Senior Structural/Civil Engineer With a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience in the design of building structures, you will be a Chartered or nearly Chartered Structural / Civil engineer. As well as a high level of technical excellence, you will have the proven ability to personally manage structural engineering projects with appropriate levels of interpersonal skills commensurate with this role. The preparation of fee proposals, the supervision of junior engineers and undertaking structural surveys will also be required of the successful candidate. Some overseas travel on short-term assignments may also be part of the role, so knowledge of foreign design codes could be an advantage.
