Contribute to the Utran/RNC analysis and design activities of the MND systems group. Responsibilities: Produce systems analysis/RNC design documents; call processing and radio resource management features. Simulation/Modelling. Liaise with customer facing teams on technical issues. Attend and/or track standardization meetings. Provide technical/ progress feedback; analysis/design Involves: Study of 3GPP specifications relevant to particular call processing features. A precise feature specification is built - functionality, algorithm design, signalling and data exchange. Simulation activities may be required at this stage. Once the feature specification is complete at system level the design for the RNC related functionality is performed. This design involves establishing the new or upgraded firmware and software functionality and interfaces which will support the new feature. The following experience is required: 3+ year in radio access technology (GSM/GPRS/ UMTS). Broad technical expertise in Utran protocols (RRC, NBAP, RANAP, ALCAP/RNSAP), Utran functionality. Experience of systems analysis/design. Familiarity with RNC or other equivalent Real Time communications platform. The following experience is desirable: System test of radio access technology. Call processing and Real Time concepts. Experience of customer interface. ISO9001 experience. |
