Our client develops and licenses embedded communications software for telecommunications equipment manufacturers and semiconductor manufacturers. As part of the engineering team you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the company's enabling technology for enterprise and carrier-class VoIP products.Responsibilities will include:Working closely with product management, customers, and other cross-organizational teams, the Systems Validation Engineer is responsible for system-level validation of leading edge VoIP software. Drawing on your professional experience, you will provide critical contribution to the definition of the company's product portfolio.Essential experience and skills required:Appreciation of telecommunications (packet telephony, switching, etc.). Basic understanding of computer networks (ethernet, switches, hubs, IP). Knowledge of programming (preferably C, C++, Java, scripts, etc.). Adept in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, etc.). Attention to detail with the ability to accurately record results and maintain log files. Able to carry out minor hardware modifications, wiring, soldering, etc. Keen, fast learner, and able to work for periods unsupervised.
