DUTIES:Reporting directly to the Principal Technology Leaders, duties include the following but others may be assigned:- Develop the methodology for riser system analysis carrying out sensitivity studies of system configurations Assess environmental and vessel data for implementation in to a system model. Interface with the engineering groups both internal and external on the analysis outputs for the design of the risersystem and ancillary equipment Carry out reviews of internal and third party analyses in line with Companys internal quality control systems Provide comprehensive analysis reports for submission as part of either FEED study or Project Execution work Assists the Technical Group as necessary in conducting system level analysis. Perform any other duties as directed by the Principal Technology Leaders.QUALIFICATIONS: Degree in Mechanical, Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture preferred.EXPERIENCE: Experience in Finite Element Modelling of dynamic riser systems preferred, using Orcaflex and Flexcom 3D althoughexperience in general FE analysis will also be considered. Experience of working in the field of stress analysis Knowledge of structural mechanics or fluid mechanics Knowledge of buckling strength analysis of structural components Knowledge of hydrodynamics and wave kinematics preferred. Back ground: Should have experience in at least one of the following areas: Naval Architecture/SubseaEngineering/Offshore Engineering/Mechanical-Civil Engineering IT literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
