TECHNICAL CONSULTANTOur client, part of a US corporation, is a leading provider of business intelligence, enterprise reporting, servicemanagement, infrastructure and support solutions. We emphasise the delivery of business benefit through high-qualityimplementation services, with the result that we are considered to have a high-calibre consultancy team.ROLE:Our client's consultants are involved in the complete project life cycle from pre-sales activity through toimplementation and the review stage and subsequent extended business. The various delivery functions include bothbusiness-orientated activities and more technical activities, e.g. database configuration, workstation installation andperformance tuning. For more demanding customers, technical activities can include extending application capability bydeveloping back-end solutions in the database (Oracle or MS SQL).TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS: (3 years minimum experience) Proficient in understanding Windows Server 2000+ In depth understanding of IIS deployment and administration Skilled in SQL database scripting and management (SQL Server or Oracle) Competent understanding of HTML with asp or Javascript Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, Front Page, and PowerpointPROFILE: excellent written and verbal communication skills for both internal and customer documentation; experience of working within the healthcare or finance sectors preferred; demonstrable project management skills PRINCE 2 methodology an asset; knowledge of reporting tools (particularly Crystal Reports, Business Objects, DI Diver and Monarch); knowledge of general management/consultancy methodologies, such as BPR, TQM, ISO9000; commercial awareness and pre-sales experience; strongly committed to quality and excellence customer service; ability to establish excellent working relationships at various levels; highly self-motivated; able to quickly assimilate information in order to understand customer requirements; prepared for extensive national and occasional international travel (full, valid UK driving licence required).
