ResponsibilitiesWorking on our PLM system- to send / request s directly from our factories (training will be provided on the systemin house)Organisation / smooth running of technical design dept & machinistsworking alongside - together with designers to produce first development s, on site & at sourceSkills required;Gerber, literate in Word & excelexperience in sleepwear / soft separates (fabrications- silk, satin, chiffon, jersey, toweling and wovens)must be able to work on own initiative, dynamic personality & good communication skills essentialorganised & able to work to tight deadlinesexperience in dealing with high street retailers preferred & offshore factoriesat least 5yrs experience requiredThis candidate will be a key team member working with designers & garment techs to develop product to first fit approvalstage.He/ she will be required to attend fit meetings with the customer and will be responsible for building a good workingrelationship with the buyer / garment tech within M&S. The role will involve travel to our factories in Sri Lanka, India/ Turkey / China / Turkey to work with our teams there. Travel will be required at the end of each season & will not beexcessive, but candidate must be willing to travel. |
