Technical Manager (Concrete Products)Midlands or KentAttractive Salary + Car + Final Salary PensionMy Client is one of the UK's leading landscaping and building materials suppliers. They specialise in manufacturing andsupplying quality block paving and patio landscape products through Builders Merchants, Landscape and Garden Centres.As a result of rapid expansion of the business over recent years they wish to further strengthen their management teamthrough the introduction of a concrete specialist to take on the role of Technical Manager. This position will form partof the senior management team whose goal is Operational Excellence, reporting directly to the Operations Director of thebusiness.As Technical Manager you have a strong knowledge of modern and best practice concrete manufacturing as you will beresponsible for the technical aspects of delivering business and process improvements and for delivering strategicprojects in order to reduce manufacturing costs and improve product quality. In addition candidates will have a verythorough understanding and awareness of SHE.Candidates will have a sound understanding of Concrete Technology, as they will be involved in the management of theoptimisation of all concrete mix designs and new product development. Being Six Sigma trained would be an advantage.Of graduate calibre, you must have proven senior management experience in a similarly fast-paced engineering environment.With considerable strategic vision and personal presence, you must have leadership, communication and management skillsof the highest order.
