An excellent opportunity for a proven technical engineer, with strong project management skills, to join the Oil & Gasteam in supporting the sales of oil and gas products in the UK and global markets. Reporting to the Oil & Gas ContractsManager, the position will entail the successful and expedient handling of customer sales enquiries/orders/projects on a"cradle to grave" basis. This embraces: -* Enquiry handling - Technical and commercial interpretation, costing/pricing, quotation generation.* Order handling - Order interpretation, entry to computer system, commercial and technical documentation, interdepartmental/supplier liaison, expediting, dealing with visiting inspectors, shipping and invoicing department support.* Building working relationships with the relevant external sales personnel, Agents and Associate companies.* Being a technical and commercial point of contact for customers, Agents and Associate companies on all relevant productenquiries.* Working with customers to solve application problems and propose suitable technical solutions.To be considered for this position, candidates should be qualified to ONC/HNC in Mechanical or Electro-mechanicalEngineering. Ideally you will be knowledgeable about the various applications of the different valves and control systemsused within the oil & gas industries. You should have a proven history of delivering complex technical contracts as perthe client's specification; be commercially astute, "results driven" and an effective negotiator. The ability to forgeclose working relations with 'key account' customers and manufacturing suppliers is essential and an understanding ofexport terms and procedures is also required.Salary: To GBP 26,000 + excellent benefits |
