Our client is a proven leader in its field and develops truly market leading solutions supporting all the current majorglobal standards for wireless communication, including GSM, DECT, WLAN, Bluetooth, W-CDMA.We are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to provide first and second line support for a world beating range of 3Gproducts, working within an established team of highly skilled 3G support engineers. As a Technical Support Engineer youwill act as a customer champion, responsible for managing and prioritising support issues for a variety of customeraccounts and work closely with the in-house Engineering development team to isolate and identify problems, recommendalternative solutions.Key skills and experience:- Proven ability to work in a customer technical liaison/support role with 1-2 years experience. Knowledge of, and capability to understand, complex airside and wired communication protocols, for digital mobile radioproducts. 2 yrs+. Development of software for implementing communication protocols in the layers 1 to 4 of the ISO model. 1-2 yrs +. Real Time Embedded or PC applications Software development and 'C' programming language (under a UNIX or Windowsenvironment:) 5 yrs +. C++, Object Orientated Design. A degree in Electronic Engineering and/or a closely related subject. |
