Based in Bracknell, our client is a provider of IT Security solutions. They are seeking a Technical Support Engineer to provide support to the EMEA region mainly by telephone. They require an experienced, competent technical support professional (2 years experience). Our client would prefer candidates with fluent French (preferable) or German but will consider candidates without languages. You will need a good knowledge of Unix, ideally experience of Solaris & HP-UX or AIX together with strong Windows 2000 / 2003 knowledge, good networking skills Routers, Firewalls, VPNs, TCP/IP protocols & operation. LDAP & Directory Services MS Active Directory, SunOne. Good Web Server knowledge: MS IIS, SunOne & Apache. Web application servers: Jrun, BEA, WebLogic. You will be responsible for providing 1st / 2nd level technical support to customers, field personnel and VARs that are experiencing computer system issues which include network security products. You will be expected to compose technical solutions for inclusion into the corporate knowledge database. Our clients portfolio of solutions includes identity and access management, secure mobile & remote access, secure enterprise access, secure transactions and consumer identity protection. This is an office based role although occasional site visits may be required. You will become part of a fast growing technical team |
