Central to formulation and delivery of our programmes is our team of technology translators. Theseindividuals bring technical credibility and a range of commercial, entrepreneurial, interpersonal and creative skills tothe overall team.In response to growth in the business we are looking to recruit a Technology Translator with specific academicbackgrounds and a strong interest in enabling technology exploitation. Previous experience working in or collaborativelywith industry would be advantageous.The PositionsA candidate with a PhD and/or significant research experience in the area of computer vision / machine learning isrequired to develop activity in the area of vision systems engineering and vision-based cognitive systems. This role willinclude profiling relevant UK imaging research; building industry-academia collaborative research consortia; anddeveloping proposals for funding. The ability to build relationships within the vision community is essential, as arestrong communication skills.The successful candidate will be expected to work as part of a small team delivering a range of innovation servicesacross related technology areas. Activities include: Innovation consultancy Bid/proposal development Networking and knowledge transfer activities Industry needs capture / technology road mapping Programme managementThe position reports to the Technology Partnerships Manager and requires some national and European travel; it istherefore vital that all applicants have UK or European citizenship.A range of tools / methodologies will be employed and candidates can expect suitable training and career development.
