: Tender Planner/Senior Tender Planner Our client is a well established Construction Company which has developed throughout its 130+ years in business. Due to good business practices, excellent management, and progressive growth strategies, the business are now seeking a TENDER PLANNER with experiences across the whole construction sector (multi-project experience). The company wins a large number of projects due to competitive tenders, and also negotiates a higher than average volume of repeat business. They pride themselves on their professionalism and traditional-style family ownership. This client is currently working on a huge variety of projects in a number of sectors, including commercial, residential, retail, leisure, education and healthcare. These projects are a combination of refurbishment, fit-out and new build. The successful planner will be based at the company head office in Hertfordshire. The projects are primarily within the London M25 area and Home Counties, and projects vary in value from GBP 1mn to GBP 35mn+. Essential skills: -The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project planning (5 plus years experience). -You will have been responsible for the planning of a variety of multi-million pound projects -You will have a minimum of 3 years experience working within the construction industry, preferably in a planning position. -You will have a minimum of 2 years of previous tender planning experience. -You must be a proficient user of planning software, such as TeamPlan, PowerProject or Primavera P3. -You will ideally have a career background with Main Building Contractors and have an understanding of resource and outputs for construction, able to use working sequences and methods and to keep abreast of developments in plant, scaffolding etc. Responsibilities: You will work within the planning department, and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to): -Developing initial tender programmes -Costing and forecasting -Attending selection interviews -Working both with the directors and site teams. The successful candidate will be working on established and prestigious new projects. Excellent communication skills are also required for this position, as you will be liaising with not only other planners and planning managers, but also bid managers and estimators. Remuneration For the right candidate, our client can pay circa GBP 40,000 to GBP 50,000 depending on experience. There is also |
