Whilst all of the above is interesting and worthwhile the reasons that I personally would like to work for them arethat the pay is good, the people are friendly and the projects are interesting.So, what makes you tick?Experience A bachelor's degree in electronic engineering or a related discipline A minimum of 2 years experience in a software development environment Experience with software development tools - Winrunner, Loadrunner, PVCS etc. Experience with test automation Experience with embedded systems Experience with the C programming language Ability to write code is a bonus Knowledge of MPEG systems Knowledge of digital processing Knowledge of audio and video processing Experience with source control tools Ability to debug hardware and general lab equipment management Knowledge of prototyping analog and RF circuitry is desirable STB experience is desirable, although not essentialThe RoleTo conduct lab activities related to the test and bug characterization of Set-Top Boxes. Conduct tests on embedded STB software Conduct Software testing and debug related to specific bugs Conduct software regression tests Tests include environmental, reliability and functional and audio/video performance Develop and improve test processes including automated processes Support bug tracking system Conduct Design Verification Tests using multiple test suites Write software test plans and test cases Support software development Engineers Troubleshoot and diagnose functional and performance issues at board and system level. |
