Description:

My Client designs and manufactures industrial measurement instrumentation. They service customers across the globe withservice companies in Europe and South East Asia.Reporting to the Worldwide Director of Sales, you will achieve the agreed targets in sales volume, margin and customerservice.The Role:To develop a strong understanding of the UK market through detailed competitor analysis, identifying their strengths,weaknesses and strategy.In response to the above, to work with the marketing manager to devise sales strategies to increase market share and togain an advantage over competitors.To establish and maintain sound working relationships with existing customers within the UK and to identify opportunitiesfor future business activity with them.To work closely with colleagues within production to ensure the on time delivery of products and to become involved ifproblems arise.To issue clear sales orders to production as regards customer requirements.To liaise with the design & development team to develop product specifications that meet with customer requirements.To understand the production capabilities and capacities of the production unit and to sell within these parameters.To host customer visits and to entertain customers.Person Specification:A technical qualification within a relevant engineering discipline will be essential.At least 5 years experience selling instrumentation, e.g. process instrumentation, pressure control, temperature control,etc.Work experience in selling to customers within a number of these key sectors:- natural gas, petrochemical, R&D,manufacturing,, defence, pharmaceutical, automotive and/or medical.You will have excellent commercial skills, capable of effective customer contact and relationship building. SoundNegotiator and capable to understand technical issues quickly and cogently.The salary is negotiable.Contributory pension scheme.Private Health Care.23 days holiday rising rising 1 day every 3 years to a maximum of 30.It is anticipated that you will work from home if the distance is not commutable.35.5 hour week
