Key points: About the vacancy Interserve Healthcare is an established and leading care provider who puts care at the heart of everything we do. We support a range of clients varying in age and care requirements which can include mental health, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and clients with more complex clinical needs. We are currently seeking experienced Healthcare Assistants to be working within a home environment, supporting an adult male client with a spinal injury and complex care needs. The prospective employer requires support with all his moving & handling, meal prep and feeding, personal care and administration of medication. We are seeking staff who can give steady availability working day or nights shifts, or a combination of both (if you prefer). Shift patterns are:- 10:00 - 22:00 & 22:00 - 10:00 - 7 days per week. Tasks include: Assisting client with Physio and to use a Standing Frame (once trained by a Therapist, the employee will be managing the passive movements and stretches to client s upper and lower limbs)Pain managementPersonal CareManual HandlingAttending activities/appointments The Candidate will have a minimum of six months care experience, be attentive, organised and be able to manage your own workload Following skills & experience required: six months earlier care experienceExperience of working with clients with complex care needs (spinal clients advantageous)exemplary conversational and conversation discuss issues and skillto positively interact, written verbal and listeningHave a caring and compassionate attitudeCan commit to steady shiftsMedication managementCatheter careManual handlingSpinal InjuryEpilepsy About the company Interserve Healthcare delivers expert healthcare services to clients in their own homes and in healthcare establishments nationwide.
