Key points: Job Title: Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Salary/ Rate: £26, 000-£30, 000 Location: Birmingham The role: An established and leading company specializing in the heat treatment of steel & nonferrous parts for the Aerospace and Engineering industries, a vacancy has arisen at our Bury site for a permanent Electrical/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a small team involved in servicing and maintaining a range of heat treatment furnaces and associated plant. Vacancy responsibilities: •Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing of plant and equipment with complete regard to health, safety and environmental regulations. •Diagnosing causes and rectification of breakdowns. •Assisting with project work such as installation and commissioning of new equipment, plant improvements and upgrades. Key Skills/ Experience called for: •General mechanical skills, including Welding, Fabrication, Pipe fitting, replacing bearings, transmission systems including pulleys and belts; •PLC & Inverter Knowledge •Ideally qualified to C&G 2361 Parts 1 & 2 Electrical Installation or Equivalent with 17th Edition Wiring Regulations; C&G 2391-10.
