Process Lead Surveyor

Brief Overview, Location and Salary Process - Lead Surveyor Belfast 12 month contract, salary negotiable dependant on experience About the Role Working within our team across Northern Ireland, you'll identify non-infrastructure water assets, align existing assets to bespoke register and undertake condition assessments. You'll capture non-infrastructure asset data and inventory utilising alpha-numeric descriptions as well as undertaking asset performance assessments/condition grading and preparing reports/drawings/process flow diagrams The Candidate must be willing to travel around NI Water's non-infrastructure facilities as and when required. About The Candidate Along with a driving licence, you'll have post qualification (NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) Level 3) experience working in water or wastewater process design or analysis. You'll demonstrate experience of carrying out performance analysis as part of appraisals or to develop operational control regimes. With a solid understanding of the typical water and wastewater treatment processes operated by NI Water. Wastewater processes may include; RBC, percolating filter, activated sludge, SBR, MBR, oxidation tanks. Strong experience and / or strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment and distribution is a must. Must be able to read and develop process flow diagrams and carry out basic process calculations to find out / verity capacity ratings. Sound understanding of the functionality of equipment such as pumps and pumpsets, gearboxes, drive-shafts, impellers, drive-belts, bearings, seals, compressors and package plant used within the water and wastewater industry. You'll will also be an excellent communicator with good IT skills. Sound process design and engineering knowledge. Ability to interpret Process and Instrumentation Drawings (P&ID) and other technical drawings. Knowledge of engineering regulations and health and safety requirements relating to the water and wastewater industry. Ability to work under own initiative on technical matters and manage their own time. Surveyors will be expected to meet Access NI Basic Disclosure Certificate. Desirable criteria Trained in Confined Spaces Be certified as competent in the use of breathing apparatus. Ability to lift submersible pumps. Willingness to mentor, support and develop other staff.
