03/05 * - Electrical Maintenance Engineer    Location: Liverpool Jobs

Key points: Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery in an autonomous role in the food sector Your new company A new, exciting and growing company that has quickly forged a strong reputation in their market place (supplying to the food manufacturing sector). They have achieved incredible success in a relatively short period of time - which has led them to double their head-count over the last 3 years. Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity has arisen for an Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join their successful team. Your new role Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your role will centre around planned maintenance (PPM) and 'breakdown' activities across the 2 main areas of the Liverpool site. This is a 'process' type production environment and typical equipment to be maintained includes; actuator valves, control valves, flow meters, temperature sensors, case erectors, bag inserters, cutters, palletisers and wrappers. The maintenance team is fairly small and compact - so there is a lot of autonomy within this role and trust that you can do your job well (and follow-through your ideas for improvements) with minimal supervision. What you'll need to succeed We are seeking to employ a qualified Electrical Maintenance Engineer (ideally HNC or above) with experience in a relevant production environment. Someone from a dairy related or process industry would be of particular interest. nonetheless, candidates from general food or FMCG manufacturing would also be considered. Good knowledge of electrical systems is the most important thing here - but understanding of controls would be a bonus (eg. Siemens S7). Most of the maintenance/servicing of the controls systems is contracted out - so detailed knowledge isn't called for. As the maintenance team is small and the site is quite large and spread-out, it's called for that you're able to work successfully in an autonomous role (with limited direction and supervision). You'll be used to contributing ideas for engineering improvements and taking the full responsibility for helping to implement them. This is a 'days' role (Mon-Fri) on a salaried basis. There is a shared responsibility for out of hours (working) emergency cover, but it's highly unlikely you'd be called-in frequently. What you'll get in return In return for your hard work and dedication, you can expect to work in a successful, up-and-coming company where you have the opportunity to develop your skills and progress in a 'self-managing' culture where there's a good variety of work to get involved with. What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'make an application today' to send an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now. If this job isn't quite right for you but you are seeking to employ a new position, Contact us for a privatediscussion on your career. Ha ..........
