There are 3 main types of Electrician Jobs in the UK:

  • Installation electricians test and install wiring systems. These are often for lighting, security, fire, automatic doors and smoke alarms etc.
  • Maintenance electricians test and maintain electrical equipment. They can work in factories or assembly lines. They are usually working in industrial or commercial environments.
  • Production electricians deal with complex electrical appliances from wiring diagrams.

The candidate should have *Experience of electrical, instrumentation and control design in a wide range of process plants, both new build and brownfield green (new build) and brown (plant modification) field *Good interpersonal skills *Confidence to interface with and support the lead engineers The candidate should be able to *Co-ordinate the activities on the EC&I design team on an assigned project *Review drawings for accuracy, compatibility, consistency, and for compliance with design criteria and overall project requirements. *Assist with production design work with discipline Engineers, including meetings and design reviews. *Produce cable and tray routing diagrams, block cable diagrams, electrical schematics, instrument loop diagrams, cable schedules etc. *Produce design drawings using computer aided design equipment.     The Candidate must have experience in an FMCG, Chemical, Utilities or manufacturing environment
    Have experience fault finding and modifying PLC s (Preferably Siemens)
    Be able to do Root Cause Analysis on faults to work towards Zero-breakdown and Zero Stop mentality.
