The candidate should have *Experience of electrical, instrumentation and control design in a wide range of process plants, both new build and brownfield green (new build) and brown (plant modification) field *Good interpersonal skills *Confidence to interface with and support the lead engineers The candidate should be able to *Co-ordinate the activities on the EC&I design team on an assigned project *Review drawings for accuracy, compatibility, consistency, and for compliance with design criteria and overall project requirements. *Assist with production design work with discipline Engineers, including meetings and design reviews. *Produce cable and tray routing diagrams, block cable diagrams, electrical schematics, instrument loop diagrams, cable schedules etc. *Produce design drawings using computer aided design equipment. The design tools used in the office include AutoCAD, SmartPlant Instrumentation (INtools). *Understand 3D modelling and its impact on the EC&I design team. *Understand and assess the implications to the EC&I design team of P&IDs, Mechanical General Arrangements, Piping drawings and Civil drawings is required. *Undertake site surveys. *A good working knowledge of ATEX and hazardous area applications Requirements *SmartPlant Instrumentation (INtools) *AutoCAD *Familiar with the key working standards, especially ATEX & BS 60079 *HNC Preferred *A background in Chemical, Petro Chemical, Power and Nuclear industries. *Applicants must be eligible to work in UK i.e. right to work in the UK must be already obtained ..........
