We are searching for a Qualified HGV Mechanic as The prospective employer is expanding their Salford Depot which is located close to both Junctions 2 and 3 of the M602. The Candidate must only apply if you have relevant Motor Vehicle Mechanical Qualifications up to Level 3 such as City & Guilds or NVQ and ideally hold a CLASS 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (C) License .
The company is well established and they are experts in commercial vehicle rental. their company and business has 6 rental depots, with fully equipped maintenance workshops in the North and South of England. From these depots they operate in excess of 2500 vehicles (of which 1200 are above 3.5 tons) nationwide.
The role of HGV Mechanic will involve being responsible for carrying out inspection and service routines and repairs and testing of vehicles in a professional and safe manner. The HGV Mechanic will be reporting to the Depot Manager and will be able to investigate and diagnose faults, report findings and be able to carry out all repairs to the current manufacturers standards.
The Candidate will be expected to have a stable main dealer background and must have knowledge of modern diagnostic systems, preferably crane or hydraulic systems
