This role was part of their succession planning and will be critical to their on-going success.

1. They are at a new stage of development and are seeking a first class experienced QS to join the team.
2. Responsibilities/skills will include:
• Financial management of schemes from £1m to £10m. Many opportunities within the organisation. • Commercially minded, must have a keen eye on profitable outcomes, a strong commercial focus providing accurate financial input to the project • Accurate financial/cost reporting and forecasting; cash flow; CVR’s; end forecasting on margin, MCR’s etc • Contractual awareness when dealing with clients and subcontractors, a variety of various forms of contract (NEC & JCT) • Measurement and take-offs • Main contractor or Subcontractor experience • Relevant building and/or civils sector experience, a strong building background was required • Subcontractor procurement and selection • Have the ability to work closely with the construction teams and Contracts Managers, update the site with cost related information, check work completed to CM’s satisfaction, issue payment certification to accounts and notification to subcontractors • Must be PC literate with the ability to manage a document system • Personable, team player, with good communication skills This was a demanding permanent role in a busy commercial environment; you should be cool and capable of maintaining tight financial control of the contract.
