27/09 - Construction Technical Design Advisor    Location: Tonbridge South East Kent Jobs

Key points: A Technical Design Advisor is necessary by a long-established firm, working in a expert area of construction handling projects on new build and refurb basements across civil, commercial and domestic structures.
The ideal jobseeker for this new vacancy should have experience in engineering, building surveying or architectural practice and customer facing experience and will receive further on the job training to be able to fulfil the job requirements.
The job could be an exciting and exemplary opportunity for a suitably qualified person to work near by and/or to work flexible office hours (minimum Twenty Five hours per week) to fit around other commitments.
Important job duties will comprise:
Handling a variety of incoming calls and e-mails requiring advice on products to suit design and specification requirements, in accordance with British Standards
Working in a team with sales and technical staff to make sure architects, specifiers and other customers have all the relevant information required to make informed purchasing decisions
Sketching diagrams or using Autocad or company literature to back up recommendations
Partnering with NSBC installer network on working up designs for all stages of the construction process
Organising site visits if required in keeping with customer and site requirements
Processing sales orders
Maintaining the in-house CRM system, completing responses as required
Following up enquiries and quotes, trouble shooting and problem solving
Developing technical skills and expertise through on-going, on-site training
Candidates for this role should be degree educated (HND as a minimum) with a good understanding of construction methodology. The Candidate should also be customer focused with some earlier phone or face to face customer service experience and be willing to agree continuous learning and development within a technical team, at the forefront of their industry £25000 - £30000/annum ..........
