What will I be responsible for?
Joining our team as a Sales Assistant, you will take on a varied role working on the trade counter within our sales office and out in our yard where Your job duties will include being responsible for serving customers promptly and in a knowledgeable and professional manner. The Candidate will focus on sales, by serving customers on the counter and answering queries over the phone, as well as driving merchandising and stock ordering. The Candidate will be expected to carry out administrative tasks, banking, remuneration and supplier invoice variances, full training of this will be provided. This role will also involve general housekeeping within the shop and providing excellent customer service at all times.

If you have the drive and enthusiasm to build sales and develop customer relationships, as well as providing excellent customer service at all times, this may be the vacancy for you. We are seeking to employ and looking for Sales Assistant who has worked previously in a customer facing role and is seeking a new challenge with working hours that fit around personal commitments.
Knowledge of both timber and building materials and earlier work practical knowledge of working within a builders' merchant environment, is highly desirable, but not required as training will be provided. A forklift licence is also desirable.
