Structural Engineer - Wind Energy and Water

Project Manager and Lead Designer on small to medium sized projects, responsible for planning and managing the delivery of the technical and financial elements through multi-discipline teams on both wind energy and water infrastructure projects.
Qualified to Degree level or above in civil/ Structural Engineering or related discipline Recognised professional qualifications including membership of the Institution of Civil/ Structural Engineers Have experience of the management of small to medium sized projects, both financially and technically Strong interpersonal / team working skills, with a good working relationship with ail levels of the organisation, clients and contractors.

1. Undertake structural engineering design and supervise other team members.

Familiarity with relevant structural design software packages such as CSC Tedds, CSC Fastrak, Staad Pro, Have appropriate experience in design, contract and tender preparation, tender assessment, construction supervision and administration. This will also include supporting with maintenance shutdowns where applicable. • To ensure compliance with legal and corporate safety and engineering requirements. give input and support to ensure compliance across the site with the Flint Site Electrical Engineering Policy. • Identify, develop & implement efficiency improvements for mill engineering processes & technical solutions to address manufacturing issues that arise, including energy reduction programs. • skillto work with a wide range of systems within the manufacturing facility including, but not limited to: PLC’s & data highway systems, VSD’s, DC convertors, Soft Starters, process control instrumentation, Power distribution both HV and LV. • Manage capital projects from initial feasibility study to final close out ensuring KPI’s for safety, cost, time & specification are met. • Supervise technical support team, including contractors, ensuring all safety requirements (Permit to Work, Risk assessments, and method statements) are suitable, enough and complied with. • Other reasonable responsibilities that write to their abilities as directed, for example: EHS Subject Matter Expert, sMOC coordination. QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate will be an Engineering Graduate (with an electrical degree or equivalent) with 2-5 years’ experience in a FMCG company. They will have high energy and drive with a proactive and analytical approach and be able to work with minimal supervision. Problem solving skills are called for, as is the skillto embrace a team environment and to develop / coach those within the company to achieve the overall aims of the Business. They will have a proven track record in delivery to plan with an skillto drive send innovative solutions that will continually improve performance. Experience of working with high speed packaging machinery and/or paper manufacturing would be an advantage.
