The Operations Manager will oversee all operational aspects of the power station and processes on site ensuring the plant is compliant with all environmental legislations and permits. What you'll be doing... Typical duties of the Operations Manager will include:
* Responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of the 34MW EFW plant
* The day to day management of 15+ operations staff including shift teams and operations day staff
* Ensuring the power station operates and complies within environmental regulations at all times
* Liaising with the Maintenance Manager and other relevant personnel regarding projects, maintenance, outages, costing and programming of plant improvements
* The day to day monitoring of plant efficiency and directing the operations staff to optimise the power station accordingly
* Preparing the annual budget for the Operations department for review and work within this budget
* Carry out annual performance reviews with operations staff What the employee will need... To be considered for this sensational opportunity it's important you meet certain criteria including:
* Extensive operations experience in the power generation or waste/recycling industry. This can include CCGT, coal, CHP, energy from waste or biomass.

* Experience of managing budgets and in the training and development of staff

09/11 * - Wind Farm Technician    Location: Cardiff Jobs

Key points: Cathcart Energy are currently employing for an AT/CT Level Wind Turbine Technicians for Servicing Wind Turbines for a Wind Farm in Cardiff, Wales. the employee will be working at height and so need to be confident in that environment but all appropriate training courses will be given if needed. This role will require that you have worked directly with Large Wind Turbines. And understand basic wind turbine layout and operations and responsible for the remote monitoring of wind farms and respond to breakdown calls from the turbines within a pre-find outd time limit while on duty, mobilising extra help as called for. Specifically the employee will need to have experience with 3 phase systems, electrical fault finding and electrical systems maintenance. Candidates who only have domestic and commercial electrician experience will not be considered. The vacancy salary is from £25, 000 depending on level you are working at. This will be significantly increased by generous on call and overtime bonuses. the employee will need to have a driving licence for this role. 24/11 * - Electrical Engineer, Wind Turbine Maintenance, South Wales ...    Location: Swansea Jobs

Key points: Cathcart Energy are employing for an Electrical Service Engineer for onshore Wind Turbines in South Wales. The Service Centre is in Hirwaun and is commutable from Cardiff, Swansea and Newport. The role will involve servicing and maintenance of Turbines around the South Wales area. Given the location of the role our client is keen to consider Electrical Maintenance Engineers who will be relocating. They will offer relocation support to help you move if you are not local to the area as the employee will need to live within a commuting distance of Hirwaun as there is an on call aspect to the role. The role will for be standard daytime hours (working) with no shift work but there is an on call rota which is roughly one week in three where the employee will need to be available until 8pm for call out. the employee will be working at height and so need to be confident in that environment but all appropriate training courses will be given if needed. This role will primarily require Electrical Engineering skills and experience ideally with heavy industrial equipment. If you have Mechanical experience as well this will be a great asset but it is not really necessary and the employer won't consider candidates who do not have electrical maintenance experience. Specifically the employee will need to have experience with 3 phase systems, electrical fault finding and electrical systems maintenance. If you have experience with PLCs and control systems this will also strengthen your application. If you have worked in the wind industry before this will be an advantage but electrical engineering experience with the armed forces, marine, heavy plant, factory and manufacturing are all good potential backgrounds for this role. Candidates who only have domestic and commercial electrician experience will not be considered. The vacancy salary is £25, 000 to £27, 000 and will be significantly increased by generous on call and overtime bonuses and average actual earnings are around £38, 000. the employee will need to have a driving licence for this role.
